Justin Vanderveer’s practice includes insurance coverage litigation, white collar criminal defense, commercial litigation, and aviation/aerospace insurance coverage.
Justin was born and raised in Phoenix and is proud to call himself an Arizonan. Justin spent a brief stint out of state, attending the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and began his practice in Colorado before returning home to Arizona in 2022.
While in law school, Justin was a member of the fifth-ranked trial team in the nation, competing in numerous national trial competitions. He finished top-10 in the National Trial Competition in 2021; won the regional round of the National Trial Competition in both 2020 and 2021; placed in the “Sweet 16” of the All-Star Competition in 2021; and won multiple local competitions and awards for his trial advocacy in the process. Additionally, Justin served as a teaching assistant for Trial Practice, president of the Moot Court Board, treasurer of the Student Trial Lawyers Association, and co-founded the Air and Space Law Society at the University of Denver.
Justin’s passion lies within the courtroom and within the business world. He began his legal career in Colorado, securing favorable verdicts in three out of three bench trials he conducted. While in law school, he completed a Certificate in Corporate and Commercial Law and externed in-house for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Prior to that, he interned at S&P Global in Washington D.C., lobbying under its in-house government affairs division.
Outside of law, he is an avid board game enthusiast, enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and plays soccer whenever he can find the time.
