J.P. Harrington Bisceglia is a partner at Christian Dichter & Sluga, P.C. Her primary practice areas are insurance coverage and bad-faith litigation. She is recognized by Super Lawyers, has earned the Martindale-Hubbell AV-Preeminent Rating, was invited to be a Senior Fellow by the Litigation Counsel of America (“LCA”) in 2023, and has been listed in Best Lawyers. She is also a prime member of the Association of Defense and Trial Attorneys (“ADTA”).
J.P. Harrington Bisceglia practices in Arizona State and Federal courts and has recently been admitted to practice in New Mexico. She handles her clients’ needs from case assessment, investigation, discovery, settlement, trial and appeal. She has spent her entire legal career working in insurance defense litigation. She has represented clients in a broad range of cases including insurance coverage disputes relating to first- and third-party claims on personal and commercial lines, bad faith, medical and other professional liability claims, nursing home litigation, subrogation, and general civil litigation. Ms. Harrington Bisceglia has been involved in 12 trials over the course of her career, several of which were tried to verdict. She also has completed many arbitrations on a variety of civil disputes.
She takes the defense of her clients seriously, and recently obtained an arbitration decision less than her client’s final settlement offer and hundreds of thousands less than the amount demanded. She has presented educational material to claims adjusters, managers, and corporate counsel in private in-house settings as well as at NAMWOLF meetings and PLRB Regional Conferences.
Ms. Harrington Bisceglia is a board member of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel and leads the group’s Diversity Committee. She also serves as the firm’s primary contact to NAMWOLF (National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms), where she co-chairs the Insurance Practice Area Committee. She also serves on diversity committees of ADTA and the Maricopa County Bar Association. Ms. Harrington Bisceglia shares her love of law and the practice of law with each of these organizations and collaborates with them in a way to foster opportunities in law to all who seek it.
